Colts improved to 14-0 by beating Jaguars 35-31

Peyton Manning did everything that was needed to keep the Indianapolis Colts unbeaten during Thursday night’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Completing every pass early and one big one late, the quarterback led his team to fourteenth win of the season, setting another franchise record.

Indianapolis extended its NFL-record winning streak in the regular season to 23 and became the third 14-0 team in league history, joining the 1972 Miami Dolphins and 2007 New England Patriots. If, and it is very likely, the New Orleans Saints win over the Dallas Cowboys this Saturday night, they will be the fourth.

The Jaguars had a chance to win it in the closing minutes, but quarterback David Garrard overthrew receiver Mike Thomas on a third-and-10 play with about a minute to play. A cornerback in Colts jersey intercepted the ball, sealing the game with the Colts remaining unbeaten.
