Pro Bowl team roster- AFC defense

There are fewer big names on this list, and I cannot understand why many of them can put on Pro Bowl jerseys. Maybe it’s time for us to stop considering Pro Bowl game an all-star game. It’s simply a game between two teams consisting of casually-selected pro football players, and it just happens that there are some star players sometimes.

Let’s start from defensive ends. Houston Texans Mario Williams and Tennessee Titans Kyle Vanden Bosch will start at the position with Jets Shaun Ellis being the only backup. Interior linemen for the AFC team are Ravens Haloti Ngata, Patriots Vince Wilfork and Steelers Casey Hampton. Starting linebackers include Broncos Elvis Dumervil (outside), Steelers James Harrison (outside), Ravens Ray Lewis (inside), and Steelers LaMarr Woodley will backup at outside linebacker while Texans DeMeco Ryans will backup at inside linebacker.

Cornerbacks are Jets Darrelle Revis, Raiders Nnamdi Asomugha and Broncos Champ Bailey. Ravens Ed Reed and Patriots Brandon Meriweather are to cooperate at free safety while Broncos Brian Dawkins and Dolphins Yeremiah Bell are the strong safeties.
