As wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth’s agent Drew Rosenhaus announced one day after the Cleveland Browns released the receiver, Stallworth would work out for a team today to check if he has a chance to work there. And today’s reports disclosed that the team is the Detroit Lions.
A few days after the Super Bowl games, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell reinstated Stallworth to the league following a whole-season suspension. However, only one day later, Stallworth lost his job as a wide receiver in Browns jersey. But both Stallworth and his agent were confident that the receiver would soon find a new job in a new team.
There has not been any confirmation from Rosenhaus or the Lions about Stallworth’s workout, but there is neither any denial. So we may remain hopeful that Stallworth is to be signed "in the next couple of weeks at the latest" just as Rosenhaus expected.
