Eagles offensive coordinator did not think Vick disrupted offense rhythm

After it was reported that the Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback Donovan McNabb was unhappy with the way Michael Vick was used in the preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The reports said that McNabb thought he Vick plays were disrupting the offense's rhythm and momentum. However, the team’s offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg said on Sunday that Vick was helped the offense, not disrupted.

“We did have a quick discussion about that,” Mornhinweg said of discussion with McNabb. “We all do our jobs; that’s it. I understand, but that’s secondary to what we’re trying to do. You are not going to let one or two plays throw us out of rhythm and that’s for every position.”

Vick was involved in just six plays Thursday night and took part in the Eagles’ first four drives. He will also play this Thursday night against the New York Jets in the Eagles’ final preseason game, which McNabb will not take part in.
