Eagles DE Parker waived preliminary hearing in marijuana possession charge

According to online court records, the Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Juqua Parker waived Tuesday his preliminary hearing on a marijuana possession charge, which stemmed from a traffic stop early on Aug. 5. By so far, there has not been a set court date for the case.

Parker was riding in a van driven by offensive lineman Todd Herremans early on Aug. 5. When the vehicle was stopped for speeding near the team’s training camp at Lehigh University, police found a small amount of marijuana in it. Then the van was pulled over to road side, and Parker admitted to police the marijuana belonged to him.

Parker is 31 year old now. He joined the Eagles in 2005 after playing four seasons with the Tennessee Titans. And last year he became a full-time starter for the first time in his career.
